title : Habit??

Going to write about something interesting that happened yesterday. Actually I could have wrote it during work since I was locked in the call centre the whole day waiting to answer calls from people ^~^

Yesterday was Saturday, supposedly to be my off day. However due to the JAE admission thing, I had to work even though it was a Saturday. ( this means that I can earn more this week ha ha but still a bit tiring n I left with only one off day. Monday still has to go for work T.T) Although it was a Saturday, some parents still wake up very early to call us. Therefore early in the morning when I stepped into the office, I had to start answering phone calls. There was something that we had noticed that was mostly the phone calls were not made by the candidates themselves but their parents or even friends. These made us wonder who exactly was going to apply for poly?!

There was one call that I remembered very clearly. It was a call made by a mother calling to enquire about the course as her daughter did not meet the entry requirement. She asked about whether appealing is going to help her daughter to get into the course as her grades were not bad just that she did badly for her maths ( maths is very IMPORTANT!!). We had heard about many people wanting to appeal due to the fact that they did not meet the entry requirement. Since they could not make it then there is no use to appeal, they would still be rejected. I told the mother about it, but the mother thought that I was stopping her daughter from getting into the course. She even asked me "u sure?" X 3. Lol! I could not gain anything if I really bluff her n I not that free to cheat her. (Parents were willing to do anything to help their child get into the poly. But who tells their child not to do well in their O level.)

One parent even wanted to talk to the person-in-charge. Ha ha she talked to me until she wanted to vomit blood. No choice there was no person-in-charge for her to talk to, she could only write in. (Actually her child was given the choice to study nursing in other poly, but she insisted that we should give her child a chance as her child don't want to re-take his O, don't want to study nursing n don't want to go ITE!!) If everyone thought that by insisting they would get into the poly, then there shouldn't be any ITE in Singapore already. Haiz~

Ha ha I wrote so much about those kinds of phone calls n people I had talked to. I was going to tell u what ridiculous situation that I had encountered.

For RP, we had course counselling for those O level holders to know more about the courses in RP. Many international students came for it. The toilet would then has to be shared between the staff n the public. The ridiculous thing in the toilet...

I entered the toilet n noticed that the first cubicle was occupied. No choice, I walked towards the second one. I was about to go in when I saw there was already a lady who sat on the toilet bowl. I stun until the lady broke the silence. I could feel crows flying above my head. What the hell! Is it for effective communication between her friend n her?! Or that was already their habit?! We never know...

When I went back to my call centre I told my colleagues about it. In exchange, they also told about some interesting things that they had encountered with tin foreign talents ^^.

Our call centre always filled with laughter when the others were working hard at the counters.
